The Position

Ca’ di Fatino is 5 kilometres from the main town of Castiglione dei Pepoli on the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. The cuisine of this area perfectly reflects its geographical situation. Here the locals prepare and enjoy the excellence of two culinary products; that is to say the Bistecca Fiorentina or the wonderful pasta dishes Bologna is renowned for, ideally accompanied by tangy white wines from the Bolognese hills or a full-bodied Chianti.

The environment here is a result of reasonable extensive farming which creates ideal living conditions for deer, stag, pheasants, wild boar and all sorts of songbirds.

By car:

From the North (Bologna) Autostrada A1, exit RIOVEGGIO;

From the South (Florence) Autostrada A1, exit PIAN DEL VOGLIO

From the South (Florence) Variante del valico, exit BADIA

By train:

Our nearest railway station is “San Benedetto Sambro-Castiglione Pepoli”. All regional trains Bologna - Prato/Firenze and v.v. stop here. The distance to/from Ca’ di Fatino is just over 6 kilometres. It is a pleasure for us to come to pick you up.

By public bus:

There is a regular bus service from/to Bologna. The bus stop is in walking distance of Ca’ di Fatino.

By air:

Both Guglielmo Marconi (Bologna) and Amerigo Vespucci (Florence) airports can be reached in less than an hour. They are both served by most European carriers. Low cost airlines Ryanair und EasyJet serve Bologna.
